Happy weekend! Links we liked this week…

Happy Friday, friends! Take a huge deep breath and let it out, along with all of the stresses of this past week…and oh my, were there a few…

In a nice wind down to the weekend, I spent yesterday evening with The Minimalists.

I don’t want to say a whole bunch right now about their message and the wheels it set in motion in my own head and house, because I’ll be meeting them in about an hour to interview them for a future Behind the Blog. I can report, though, that I was up at 4:30am furiously typing on my iPhone under the covers, getting down my thoughts. I was too tired to get up and go to my computer, but too awake to sleep on it. I’ll share more in my post…

This weekend, we hope you’ll come out and see us at the Delish General Store table at the Clayburn Village Heritage Day, in Abbotsford! It’s on Sunday the 15th, from 11am to 5pm. My trusty booth babe Tanya (aka my big sis) will be by my side and we’ll be debuting the Jar Bar 1.0. Cynthia will be there as well but blink and you’ll miss her as she’s only able to come for about an hour!

Other than that, both of us and our families will again be busy enjoying the weather and being industrious.

I’m happy to finally be mailing off a quilt to my son’s former nanny Nyssa, and wanted to share some pics of it with you! Here Finn is checking out the raindrops that are meant to remind Nyssa, now back in Australia, of Vancouver…and I’ve sealed it (and made it) with love.

Happy weekend, everyone! Here are some links we liked this week:

I really enjoyed Simple Mom’s post 8 hidden meanings behind cravings. When I am fulfilled creatively, professionally in health and at home, I am less likely to have thoughts of unhealthy food creep into my mind. Unless it’s chocolate. There’s nothing bad about that.
I just loved this, that’s all. A moment.
Love this shirt, and love this charity, Wild Fire Tees. 100% of the proceeds of the sale of t-shirts emblazoned with super-hot graphics goes to benefit the victims of Colorado wildfires. (Hey, see what I did there — emblazoned…super hot…I’m on fire!! HA! I did it again!)
Added to my must-sew list, this stash-buster skirt. I’d make mine longer, though. I’m over 40, man, I don’t do minis!!
I’ve been following along the great Backyard Movie Night series at Oh Happy Day and really want to throw this sort of party! I think it’ll have to wait one more year though as our little guy goes to bed pretty early still.

Make everything with love,
Tamara
