Happy weekend! Links we liked this week…
Well, I’m happy to report that it looks like my phone might be coming around! If that is truly the case, then over the next few weeks you’ll see a happy dance from me, a few pieces I was working on in Europe, and a whole lot of photos!
Happy Friday, everyone. What do you have planned for the weekend? I think we’ll be sticking close to home this weekend. It’s finally summer here, and I intend to enjoy it fully. We’ve actually gotten into this funny routine in our household. If Finn has had a nap that day, after dinner we head out into the front yard and weed the grass. My husband seeded it before we left on our trip and it is thick, lush and…full of weeds. We lay and cuddle and tickle and try to get all of those suckers that we can out of the ground and into a bucket. Well, two of us do…the other one…lays and rolls and sings and rides his bike…
A side benefit is that we’ve been able to chat with neighbors out for an evening walk, and we’re enjoying that a lot. So there will be some weeding, some wine, some BBQing and maybe even a Saturday night movie. (Come on, iTunes, release something good for this weekend!)
Cynthia has a family dinner planned, back yard marshmallow roasting on the fire and bike riding! Aaaah…the weekend.

We have shared projects from Poot & Boogie’s Leanna before, and we are just loving one she posted this week — her adorable air plant octopus. Seriously, so so sweet.
Love, love, love this Hudson Bay Inspired Crib Blanket from The Purl Bee. As a matter of fact, I so love it that I am just putting it out there. Mom, if you are reading this right now, I would love this for my birthday. Blink once if you have read this and will be knitting me a version large enough for my bed. Love you.
TipNut.com’s 100+ Homemade Jam, Jelly and Marmalade recipes have me in the mood…for canning.
Every week I stock up on raspberries and strawberries, and we are still working our way through blueberries we picked and froze last year, but HuffPo says we might be missing out on some…these Lesser Known Berries.
A lot of people have been talking about the New York Times’ article The Busy Trap and I’d like to say I’ve read it, but…not meaning to be ironic…I have been too busy. It’s on my reading list for the weekend…because, hello…this pull quote speaks to me.“It’s not as if any of us wants to live like this; it’s something we collectively force one another to do.”
I laughed and laughed at this great Virgin Mobile Australia campaign and commercial, featuring Brad Pitt’s brother.
In Delish General Store news, Cuppow came out with a topper for regular mouth canning jars, and we’ve got them! (Well, we expect them today or Monday, but we’re taking pre orders.) This is really big, because these answer a great demand for Cuppows that were more female-friendly, and with their revised spout shape, are easier for kids to use. They have even built in STRAW TREK, a hole for straws.
We also got in our first order of the Freekey and Freekey System, and seeing it in person, we are true believers. We’re also quite happy to never break a fingernail again getting a key on or off a darned keyring. THIS is good news! All right, I’m out of here. Have a great weekend, everyone! And don’t forget to…
Make everything with love,
Tamara

Hey – just wondering if you have ever come across a type of cloth belt like thing to make a handle for pails? Hard to describe but somehow I thought I’d seen something that had a big loop that you put around the circumference of a pail (like an ice cream pail or large tupperware bowl) and you can tighten it and form a handle to carry the pail with you to pick berries, lettuce, or whatever. Let me know…could be something great for the general store…
